i swear i've been finding new ways to hurt myself.....
first, lodging my thumb between the car door for Christmas...
now for Chinese New Year?

Falling into the drain.....
it was about 3 feet deep!!....which was more than half of me....
the place was dark and i thought the drain was covered...

thinking back, now it seems quite comical to me... :P

This is the reason why you should never day dream....

Ter-kiap-ed the tip of my thumb while closing the car door...luckily i didn't slam the door...
it was very painful nevertheless....a very throbing, numbing pain..

after shutting the car door...i stared at my hand stuck at the door for half a second before i realised the pain...
...then only i remind myself to open the door...silly silly silly...
..can just see the blot start clotting right away.... bengkak now...

so big already still so clumsy... :P

Bangkok Day 2 & 3!!
I've combined photos for Day 2 & 3 as these two days were spent wholely on shopping....so...did'nt take much photos... hehe....too busy....spending... :P

So .... Day 2

Started out from hotel after breakfast...
We walked to the BTS station Ari to get to Siam station (all major shopping malls situated around this area, from the high end branded malls to the Sg. Wang type malls)
From Siam station...we walked all the way to Bobe market (walking distance 40 minutes!)
Why walk?? erm...."Get to see more things laa.." said aunt...."and save money for more shopping too!" :P
Bobe market is a wholesale place where you can find clothes and stuff dirt cheap!! (bikinis for RM10!!)
After an unfruitful shopping trip, we decided to walk back to Siam...to check out Mahboonkhrong...popularly known as MBK...

Stopped by at Tesco for lunch before that.... had yummy beef noodles & fried chicken bought from a roadside stall.. (sorry...forgot to take photos...was too busy eating :)
The rest of the day was spent walking around MBK, Pratunam and the areas around it. We've discovered an amazing place to shop but it was late and they were closing...so...reserve for day 3!!

Day 3

Left hotel...walk to Saphan Kwai...took BTS to Siam....walked to the Platinum Fashion Wholesale Market!
Well...the name says it all....5 floors of anything fashion you can think about...at wholesale prices....shop till you really drop!!
We spent the whole day here...so...not much photos....only photos of lunch & dinner....heh....

So....let the photos tell you the story....

At Tesco... we saw some amazingly huge durians!!

Bangkok's public toilets are amazingly clean.....and...abit different too...this is their squat toilet...

After walking like forever...we stopped to rest at a cafe to have some ice cream...
Coconut ice cream...abit scepticle at first but surprisingly it turn out to be very nice!!
coconut flavoured ice cream, yam cubes at the side, some pulut rice at the bottom and nangka strips on top...yummy!!

Normal tasting vanilla ice cream with rasberry sauce...

We were caught in the rain while walking back to the BTS station...it was so heavy we took refuge at this tiny stall....we were drenched anyway...
the aunty was selling some food.....what is it?

It's called 'Zhu Jiao Fan' .... hehe....

Feeling abit hungry....and no sign of rain stopping soon....so we ordered a plate to share....(also we feel abit paiseh la to stand at her stall and not order anything :P)

Then it's back to the hotel for some zzZzzZz.....this is where we stayed in Bangkok for 5 nights....

The choo choo train ride to Bangkok was great... contrary to people's believes....

No....no butt pain....no...not tired at all....yes...can sleep very well ..thank you...

It was indeed a very nice experience..... Everyone should try leh!! :D

How it all began....

Saturday morning...
aunt & me took a bus from Ipoh to Butterworth to catch the 13:20 train to Bangkok....

The Butterworth main train station...

Train 36 to Bangkok will be arriving at platform 2....

All aboard!! We're ready to go go go....

So we boarded the train... what to do in the train for 20 hours??

First we.......

Make ourselves comfortable....

(in the evening, the two facing seats are converted into a bed,
and the top pulled down to form the upper berth....)

Enjoy the passing scenery.....

Nice paddy fields along the way....and a nice rainbow round the bend too!

Train stops and food comes to us...

You could also order food from the food coach, to be delivered to your seat...

You could also enjoy any yum yum food you bring along from home...

After you eat...you will of course need this....

After checking into the hotel....we got straight down to business...

This year seems to be the year of weddings so...
Went for my ex-hostel-roomate's wedding....
all the way in Seremban....
about 45 minutes drive la from PJ....

a senior from another faculty...
So we were seated at the same table as the other...

It was fun having them around in uni...very nice bunch of "tai kar chehs"..

Finally had my haircut. Cut away at least 8 inches of it...maybe more.....
For the price i paid... it's not too bad i guess.... the stylist even took close to 2 hours to 'finish' it. Quite cheap la considering.... wash and cut RM35 (that's like 8 euros to you my foreign friends.. :)

Final days in Berlin. Farewell with some trainees & Aiesecers at my apartment

Finally....touched down.... Malaysia truly Asia...

After 10 hours flight, 4 hours transit and 3 hours bus ride, i'm finally back home. Everything is so familiar again... things haven't changed...

Boy, did i really spend the past half year in another country?? The feeling is so surreal....can't believe time passed so fast (especially when you're having fun ;)

What do i feel being back home? It's really a mix of emotions for me. It's great to see your family again...to give your mom & dad a great big hug.....to be able to eat all the yummy food i"ve been craving for (my mom really took my list seriously...ok...assam laksa down...29 more to go ;p)
but i DO miss Berlin and all the great friends i got to know there.... AND i miss the cold winter ;p (the europeans will say i'm crazy) ..it's so bloody HOT here... :p

I did this list when i 1st arrived in Berlin....so it's appropriate that I do a list of stuff i need to get used to again now that i'm back here in Malaysia...

1) Traffic. Forget about the S-bahns and U-bahns. Gotta get used to the right side driving again. (Not to mention the road maniacs and traffic jams)

2) Crossing streets. Cars that DO NOT stop for pedestrians.

3) Weather. Panas panas panas! Time to bring out the umbrellas, hats and sunblocks (and deoderant too).

4) Clothes. No more itchy wool sweaters. Bring out the singlets, minis and flip flops! :p

5) TeeVee. CSI....Desperate Housewives...Grey's Anatomy...Discovery...ANTM...HBO...Starworld...8TV... need i say more?

6) Language. I miss having to say "Entshuldigung"... "Danke Schön" ... "Bitte Schön"..."Keine Ahnung"..."Tschüs"... and of course "Ein Bier bitte"

7) Essen. Food food Glorious food!! There are more stuff other than Kartoffel or Döner kebab here. :D (and forget about the sandwiches)

8) Keyboard. Have to get used to the un-German keyboard. Reverse position for the 'Y' and 'Z' etc.

9) Checking my mail every 2 minutes for spams (you Berlin people know what i mean ;)

10) Going online to get the best deals for flights and hostels for trips.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Limited access to the internet after my last day of work which was last tuesday. Haven't been online since. Paris came and went. And now i'm ready to go home in 4 more weeks yo!! :D Sad and happy at the same time....weird weird mix of emotions...

Sent Duygu off at the airport yesterday... i just hate farewells... *cry cry cry * Although I know i will be seeing her again in 2 weeks, i cant help having tears in my eyes when we hugged at the airport gate....

Christmas to me is the most wonderful time of the year. Almost every year I celebrate it at home with my family (except the few times when I was away at Uni). This year it's the furthest I've been away from home. Really miss them especially during festive seasons. Christmas is a time to share, care and most of all to LOVE all that is around you. Pokai Planet: A Cheapo's Guide to Europe Travel

1) Search for the cheapest way to get there. ie. flight, bus, train or hitch hiking.

2) If travelling by plane, (budget flights such as EasyJet) book months in advance. Flight tickets can go as low as €50 both ways.

3) When your transportation is confirmed, time to search for accommodation! If you have friends staying in that particular city, time to take out your address book and keep in touch with those long forgotten friends. :D If not, ask for a friend's friend. If really really really not, ask for friend's friend's uncle's father's son's cousin's whoever's contacts. :p But if your skin is not as thick as the Berlin wall, refer to number 4

4) Search and book online for hostels. Prices can go as low as €8 a night (depending on location and facilitles)
Preferable hostels that are in the city center i.e near train stations and main tourist spots. This way you save on transport tickets by walking (refer to number 6). Try to find hostels that provide breakfast. (refer to number 5)

5) Food: Bring/prepare your own food. It's easy, not messy and filling. Buy bread and cheese/salami at the cheap grocery store and prepare your own sandwiches. And you can eat it while on the go. Snacks such as cookies, chocolates or fruits are also recommended. (Maggi mee also can lar, but where to get hot water in the middle of sightseeing right?)
If your hostel provide breakfast, eat as much as you can so you feel full and skip lunch. (If you're kiasu/brave enough, steal some sandwiches from the hostel breakfast. :p

6) Transport: If everything is near, WALK. (In Europe, a 20 minutes walk IS near) You save on bus/metro tickets and also get some much needed exercise. :)
If you must take the public transport and don't feel like paying, you can! Just get on! If you're lucky you get through. If not, risk getting caught by the controllers and get slapped with a hefty fine.

7) Souveniurs: Why is there need to buy souveniurs anyway? People will just keep them on the shelves collecting dust. Memories are the best souveniurs. :P But if you cant help it and need some...search for those souveniurs that go €10 for 3 or something like that. Try to convince your travelmate to share with you. :)
*Best souveniur tip: Postcards. Nothing beats receiving a personally handwritten postcard from different cities. :)

8) Museums/tourist spots: If it's FREE Go! If you're a student, remember your student card to get discount. If the museum is not interesting, you don't have to go if you don't want to. Taking photos outside will do. :)

9) Travelmates: Last but not least, travel with a friend or two and enjoy yourself. Although you cant eat the best food and sleep in the best hotels, the memories and adventures you experience with your friends is totally PRICELSS. Good company can make shitty sausages and chicken organs taste like mom's homecooked food. :D

Side note: All of the above have been tried and tested. Results:
A 2 day 1 night trip to Amsterdam cost about €100 including bus ticket.
A 2 day 1 night trip to Prauge cost about €100 including bus ticket.
A 3 day 2 night trip to Rome cost about €200 including flight ticket. Ok, we kinda splurge on this one here. Rome is an expensive city and not to mention the cost to cover our missed flight too.
A 3 day 2 night trip to Athens for me cost only a little over €100, including flight ticket!
A 2 day 1 night trip to Geneva cost less than €100.

How to pack half a year of your life into two suitcases?

It's been exactly 4 months and 12 days that I am here in Berlin.
Soon it will be time for me to balik kampung .... or not?

No idea where I'm heading to.
My contract ends in 1 more month.

Difficult decision...
Sure I miss home and the familiarities around me,
But when I'm back there I'll be longing to keluar kampung also..

My Big Fat Greek Weekend

Guess where I was? :D

Everything is in Greek!...literaly...

Athens is just wonderful wonderful wonderful!!
It seems that every city that we go to is better than the next.
The weather was great. Nice and sunny! And we didn't miss any flight. :P
The Greeks (especially the Simiakis) are awesome awesome awesome!!!

We stayed at Ioannis' parents house. Unfortunately Ioannis was still in Berlin and could not personally host us but it was ay- oh-kay for us. The Simiakis (Costas & Giota) took care of us so well. They were such gracious hosts.

They accepted us with open arms and heart. Treat us like their own kids, fed us huge amount of Greek food and ask for nothing in return. If you have watched the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you would know what I mean. Of course this time without the wedding and relatives.

I am truly blessed to have met them. Words can't describe how nice they were to us.
Imagine I can see tears well up in Costas eyes when we presented him a little gift for hosting us. That is just so sweet. I can't thank them enought.

Ioannis, if you're reading this, big hugs to you and your family for making our trip unforgettable!
I will definitely wanna visit Athens again. (..in summer!..)

Bella Italia~

Woke up at 3:45am in order to reach the airport to catch our flight to Roma Italia~ *cue Italian accent*

Our group consist of Sandra, Duygu, Dilek (Turkish trainee in Hamburg) & Ioannis.
We arrived at Roma Ciampino airport on Saturday morning and checked into our hostel...then erh....we...went....erh... oh no.... i just got back from Rome last Monday and now i totally forgot the order of our trip... We visited so many historical sites and churches until i can't remember the names. Next time I should blog about trips the day after and not wait one week later.

Let me see, we visited the Colleseum, the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon, Casa de Navona and our favourite the Fontana di Trevi. (And lots of other piazzas and countless churches)Basically I've covered the places where all the cardinals were killed and where Robert Langdon was in Dan Brown's book Angels & Demons.

Colleseum is awesome.... Vatican...for me...nothing really special...oh oh! We 'met' the Pope yo.... ok ok ...we didn' meet him per se...he was giving a speech from one of the windows .. anyway...

The most memorable part of the trip for me was being in front of the Fontana Di Trevi at night, eating Italian Gelati with your fellow buddies, watching the world go by.

Second memorable part is the Sistine Chaped, staring at the infamous ceiling that Michaelangelo painted. It was definitely worth the 8 euros (student price) ticket. :P

hmm....what else.... ok....unmemorable moment (but ironically will definitely cannot forget).. we missed our flight back to Berlin cos of the bad Italian traffic. :(
We might have wished a wee bit too much at the fountain. :p

Yesterday a few of us trainees gathered at Anna's house to have an 'International Dinner' cum farewell for Eva and Maryam. There were 11 of us. Anna-German, Sandra-Colombian, Marinka & Simona-Slovenian, Maryam & Fahimeh-Iranian, Eva-Greek, YewSun-Singaporean, Xenia-Russion (not sure about her name...so sorry), Jouni-Finnish and of course moi. :D
Sandra's friends, Simona and Marinka from Slovenia were in Berlin for a visit. They cooked us the main dish. (forgot the name of the dish...shame on me...tau makan saja..) Sandra made us a tropical salad. The dishes were wonderful! Dessert was supposed to be prepared by this Malaysian girl....BUT....gila babi dia....she burnt the dessert!! Come on lar....who in the world can hanguskan dessert wan?? Apparently it can happen... :p so kantoi... we settled for Iranian cookies as dessert in the end. Thanks to Fahimeh.

Overall it was a nice evening. Good company, delicious food, nice apartment. Tonight it's Party time at Eva's place!

Erh....dun wanna tell you all what I cooked(burnt) lar...paiseh only.... take a guess.... :p

Finally, post about Amsterdam!
Am so lazy to post here since I already wrote about it in my diary. (wah, got diary wor)
And the photos are still in my camera. (have to curi-curi download and edit in office u know)
But here is a summary of it yar....

Friday night after work, rushed home to get my luggage, and rushed to the bus station to meet the others at 21:00. After getting out of the U-Bahn station, I did'nt know where the direction of the station was. I spotted a Polizei nearby and rushed to ask him directions. Mr. Polizei did't know the station I wanted to go. I wanted to go to the S-Bahn but he kept pointing me back to the U-Bahn that i just came with. Luckily a nice uncle (who speaks perfect English) showed me the way. The place was just right round the corner! It was already 21:15, so i ran as quickly as I could. Reached there and Duygu, Mariam and Joao was already there.

We proceed to the bus station to buy the tickets. We were told there were no more tickets to Amsterdam eventhough we has reservations! We would have to buy it in the bus?! So we waited for the bus to come. It's supposed to depart at 22:00, but it was not there yet. We passed the time chatting nonsense, comparing each others passports and learning Portugese, Turkish, Persion and Malay....hehe....

Finally when the bus came half and hour late, the driver told us we CANNOT get on the bus without tickets and there's no such thing as buying in the bus! ... what the ... We dili dalied, argued ... etc...finally we got on the bus. So, to Amsterdam we go. The journey was not a plesant one. The seat was uncomfortable and there was awful toilet smell every now and then. We reached Amsterdam at 06:45. (So weird la, we left late but arrived earlier than expected wor...)

From the station to our hostel, we took a tram. We took the tram without paying! hehe .... all the while in the tram we think of excuses to give if we were caught.... but...we were lucky. :p Amsterdam is not that big a city, we managed by foot most of the time. The weather in Amsterdam is really crazy. One minute rain, one minute sun shine, then rain, then sun shine.... ingat, kalau pigi Amsterdam sediakan payung sebelum hujan ok.

So what did we do/visit there.... we went to the Van Gogh Museum which is a MUST if you're enthusiatic about art (if you're not just skip this. It's €10 to go in). The best part of the trip for me was the boat ride along the canals. Oh, we of course went to the place most tourist would definitely go. Amsterdam's famed red light district... it was a real... 'eye opener'... haha....too bad....cannot take photos there.

One thing's for sure, Amsterdam is REAL EXPENSIVE leh.... döner kebab for €6!! (berlin can get for €2 ya), mineral water for €2,50! wahlaueh!
On the second day during breakfast, we curi-curi tarpao-ed bread, jams, cheese from the hostel for our lunch leh.... so kiasu....hahaha .... even take tram also kena curi-curi .... like little thieves... hehe...
Came back to Berlin on Sunday night, so we reached here early morning, and straight to work! I bet none of us were working hard that morning...

All in all, Amsterdam is a beautiful place, everyone should visit it at least once.... (and don't forget to bring lots of sandwiches with you....)

hehe.....actually I did'nt really cook that dish. I was just helping out. Anna was the one that prepared the recipe, mix it all together and started the cooking. It's a kind of Russian dessert she learnt during her one and a half years training there. I kepoh kepoh try to cook it nia.....and pose for photos...
We did a 'girls day out' thing on Tuesday as it was a Public holiday. Went to Anna's place to cook, eat and then watch DVD. Duygu cooked the main dish which is a kind of curry chicken. Anna prepared the salad and dessert, so Sandra, Eva and me....erh....tried our best to make ourselves useful.... :p
The meal was nice and the movie was good too!

Oktoberfest was absolutely GILA! People partying and drinking the whole day! Our journey started early morning on Friday. Sandra and me were goin to travel to Münich by 'Mitfahrgelegenheit' (pre-arranged hitch hiking/car pooling). You get to meet some pretty interesting people travelling this way. Not to mention it's cheaper too. Was supposed to leave at 06:00 but the guys were late. So we left at 07:00. (Oh, we were travelling in a Mercedes yo :p) Reached München at around 12+, so we went to walk around the city center until it was time to meet up with the München Aiesecers at 18:00. We were placed in a school gymnasium and our bed for the night were sleeping bags and the cold hard floor.

The next day, after a not-so-nice night and heavy breakfast we were off to the Oktoberfest. We were each given vouchers for the fest. The vouchers were good for 1 meal and TWO litres of beer! How can anybody drink so much? (Apparently everyone can :p)

We reached our tent at almost 12:00 and everyone proceeded with their 1st beer of the day. Imagine, beer for breakfast?! I had like only a quarter of my 1st litre when they broke my mug while 'toasting'. The rest of the beer wasted...boo hoo. It was pretty good beer. Anyway, the atmosphere was crazy. It was still so early and everyone was so high. I did'nt intent to stay in the biergarten the whole day of course, so we went out for a walk. It's like a carnival outside with rollercoasters, ferris wheels and whatnots. Imagine people going on a roller coaster after a few litres of bier...hmmm....

Headed back to the tent for lunch so we could go sight seeing around München. Lunch was half a bird of roast chicken leh. I dun think i'll be eating any chicken in a while...

A few of us decided to go to this beautiful palace called the 'Schloss Nymphenburg'. It was evening and the sun was setting. Everthing was calm, relaxed and quiet compared to the craziness of Oktoberfest. The four of us (Lili frm China, Sandra frm Colombia and Sandra frm Egypt) took our time to relax and pose for photos.

Okay, then it was back to the crazyness at the bier tent. There are even more people now (more drunk people to be exact) By now I was feeling really really tired. I..just..want..to..tidurrrr...

Well, that was pretty much the highlight of the trip. Will definitely wanna go to München again, not for Oktoberfest but to visit some other place. Didn't get to see much for this trip. But I did get to see the 'Glockenspiel' at Marienplatz. I saw this on TV in the travelling program 'The Travellers' few years back and has always wanted to go there. So, another one down on my 'to-do' list. :D

On Sunday the whole bunch of Berlin trainees spent the whole day travelling back to Berlin on the train. Changing trains five times! Hop on, Hop off, hop on, Hop off. It's slow lar but heck, it's cheap. €6 per person! On the journey back everyone was just Kaput! Talking nonsence and laughing at just about anything... kaput, really kaput (i like this word)... K..a...p...u...t....

Guten Tag!

So I was is Dresden last weekend! The place is beeouteefoooool. A nice mix of the old countryside and modern buildings. Most of the buildings were destroyed during the war, but they rebuild almost everything to resemble the times before. There was this church that was totally destroyed (oh no, i forgot the name of the church). To restore it they actually put the original bits and pieces back together. So you can see a 'new' church with some blackened old stones in between. Cool huh, like a huge 3D jigsaw puzzle. :p

I met some really wonderful people in Dresdan. These few Aiesecers welcomed us to their homes at such short notice and were such good host to us. They took time off from their busy schedule to give us a tour of the city and bring us to the BEST-est, COOL-est, YUMMY-est Döner place. Sorry guys, did'nt have a photo of the Dürum we ate. The moment the food came, everyone was just busy eating...hehe...

Hey all.

How's it goin? Anyway, another week has passed again. Time flies real quick. It's already my 1st month here!

So what have I been doing this past month? Work wise, it's goin slow and steady i hope. Social wise, not bad lar...every weekend is filled with plans. :D Mostly sightseeing in and around Berlin.

So what about weekdays? Dienstags are spent at the Technical Uni for country presentations. (Where all other trainees gather and learn more about other countries) Donnerstag is museum day and Frietags are the 'Stammstich' (minum session). That leaves the Montags und Mittwoch. Montags is CSI New York night and Mittwoch is CSI Las Vegas.

Unfortunately it's all in German....but i watch it anyway...hehe.... Almost ALL tv programs here is in German. Ever heard Jackie Chan or Shah Rukh Khan speak fleunt Deutsch? Yes, they have Hindi movies here too....haha....

The only english programs are some sucky shows on MTV like 'Pimp My Ride' or 'Who wants to date my mom'....haha...this show is so weird. This guy gets to date 3 moms and then decide which one of their daughter he wants to have a date with (without meeting their daughters 1st)....but i watch it anyway too.....hehe....oh..and i watch 'Pop Stars' on Donnerstags too. :p ...and

oh..there's this program about the goin on in the Playboy mansion...No..it's not porn okay....it's just a show about what Hugh Hefner and his 3 wives does every other day....

Hmm....seems like I can't live without tv huh....whether in Malaysia or Deutschland..... Ö_ö

uuhuuu~ another week has passed....it's the weekends again! yippeee!
Nothing much happened the pass week. Work is work.... other than work, i went for sight seeing of course! Took lots of photos, but i havent downloaded it yet....so maybe the next post la yar...

Yesterday was my designated 'visit museum da'. Every Thursday, the museums here open 4 hours later than usual, and it's FREE! So I went to the Gemäldegalerie. An art galery. There were works by Rembrant, Boticelli and so on. (okay...i only know these two..the rest is just a blur to me) Very very impressive art.

Tonight will be a 'Stammstich' with the aiesec people. Just a get together every Friday and have a drink or two (or more for some ppl). Not sure what I wanna do tomorrow yet....more sight seeing?

Anyway, tomorrow is my Grandpa's Birthday!! So sad that I cannot be there to celebrate with the family. I miss all of you. Gong gong, hope you have a nice Birthday and get well soon yar! 'Juk lei sang sun fai lok. San tai gin hong. Lin lin yao gum yat, sui sui yao gum jiu' :D

Interesting first impressions about berlin

1) It is the LAW for cars to stop for pedestrians. Imagine Cars STOPS for pedestrians!! *Gasp!
2) There are more Asians in Berlin than you think. *Woo!
3) Gwailos are not all tall, big and bulky. My dorm mate is shorter than me, my supervisor is skinny like ah pok *Muahaha!
4) Germans speak pretty good English. *Yay!
5) Walking alone after dark is quite safe. *Waa!
6) All shops close at 8pm weekdays, and closed on Sundays. *Har?
7) Trams, Trains and Bus doors don’t automatically open. You have to press the open button *Hmm….
8) Germans don’t just eat sausages and sauerkraut everyday. As long as there’s meat, then it’s German. *urp..
9) You can bring your pet dogs anywhere, even into the subways. (All the dogs I’ve seen are so so so cute) *aaww….
10) All TV Channels are in German. Listen to Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows, Nick Stolkes, Nick Brown and Sara speak German. *ahah…

Yuhooo~~ Guten Tag! How are you ppl? Miss me or not? I've landed! Berlin is pretty cool. Oh, if my typing is abit off...blame it on the keyboard, it's different.....some keys are not the same place it used to be. ie the 'Z' and the 'Y' is switched . So I'm typing this real slow...
Oh....my flight was ok...11 hours to reach Vienna....and flight was delayed to Berlin....waited 3 hours for my transit....reached Berlin later than planned....so the AIESEC guys were already waiting...some even din have enuff sleep the day b4...:p (Sorry guys to keep you waiting) 3 AIESECers were there to 'welcome' me...Thomas...Adrian and Oleg....
Then they sent me to my room at 'Wernecheuser Str.' See the 'Wern' there? It's easier for me to remember where I stay....haha....good thinking those ppl... the room is actually a 'dorm'..there're 2 rooms, a washroom and a mini kitchen. i'm sharing it with another girl. A cute chic she is..Ana *wink* Jeevan *wink* hehe...
Then it was off for lunch! So I had my 1st meal of Grilled Pork Sausage and Sauerkrout! Sorry...i forgot to take photos of that... :p next time lar ya....after lunch and some registeration stuff....i headed back to my room....and on the way Thomas showed me some shops where I could buy groceries and stuff... it's supposed to be cheaper to cook than to eat outside....so expect some cooking disaster stories here soon.... :p And so i passed out at 7pm and woke up at 7am the next day...which is today....
OK...back to Berlin....everything here is so organized.... you have procedures for everything. And they're pretty strict about paperwork. You have to register where you stay at the nearest 'town hall/registration office' I've done that today, and opened a bank account...with help from the AIESEC ppl of course. After this would be goin for some sightseeing i think.....
alrite....that's a pretty long post for today.....shall update later....about work mebbe.....Auf Wiedersehen!

Whoa....finally...it's my last day of work! Time goes by real fast.....already starting to miss my company abit....:p The same kind of feeling i had when i left my 1st job for this company...in my mind was 'wat if this job doesn't suit me? wat if i dunno how to do? wat if this company is worse than the previous one? wat if everybody hates me? wat if.....' and so..2 years has pass since then.....now i'm moving on....the same feeling is back... we shall see....:p

So...back to lunch....i was surprised by yet another farewell lunch by my collegues! This time with the boys and a girl from my department. Had buffet lunch at a hotel nearby. The buffet there was so so only for the price we paid.....quite expensive leh....so terharu lah.....and we only had half an hour to eat! Reached at 2pm and the buffet was closing at 2.30!....so we gasak lah as quickly as we can, no time for chit chat also...hehe.....ooOoOo...there was a cheese platter....one of the cheese was niceee......i dunno what the name is....but it was delicious....

Oh.....having a 'farewel' lunch with a bunch of my closest frens later....Banana Leaf Rice oh! So....will burp-date you guys later.....*chow

oh yay...it's that time of the day! The 'After-lunch'. :D And so it was another farewell lunch by some collegues (the 'world champions' team). Kinda surprised they held it for me as i'm not that close to them. (thus the lunch was pretty ackward....me..staring at the ceiling, tv, walls, then when the food came.....eat and stare at rice)

Nevertheless it was another FULL-filling lunch *burp* and now i'm so so so *yawn* sleepy. Food was so so lah...compared to yesterday. The dishes today were kailan vege, steamed dunno-wat fish, claypot jap toufu, 'seremban' egg, chinese rice wine chicken and pork knuckles. These 6 dish were more expensive than the 10 dishes yesterday!

Oh ya...had farewell dinner yesterday too....another bunch of collegues....my lunch gang. Had jap food ...Unagi wor.... yum!.....Although it was just the four of us...enjoyable lah....nice food, nice company, had quite a fun time chatting and b****ing about other collegues...hehehe....

eeyerr....i went to one of the famous fast food restaurants to try out their new offerring...so disapointing...
the *** cheesy barbeque *yelch....not nice wan....what a rip off...RM6+ (including tax)....after makan.. NOT FULL leh....i prefer the other new offering at the other famous fast food restaurant. More juicy..more inti...and VERY filling ... :D ...and it's beef wor...:p

Just got back from lunch. A farewell treat from some collegues n my boss. *burp* 9 of us ordered 10 dishes! Can't really remember what i ate ...hehe....i know there were....vege, vege, fish, fish, pork, prawn, chicken, egg, soup...and squid. (yes we ordered TWO vege and TWO fish)

har!..since normally i have nothing much to say/write about...... i shall dedicate this entire blog to what i have/had for lunch everyday....ok ka?
